Is the will legally binding?
Belima prepares the structure of a will — clean, complete, and jurisdiction-aware. Your solicitor (or notary, in countries that require one) reviews and signs off. The draft becomes binding when they finalise it — not before. We don't practice law; we make the blank page lighter.
What happens if Belima disappears?
Everything is exportable at any time — videos, audio, text, and the will — in open formats (MP4, WAV, PDF). Forever-plan members also get a printed keepsake book. If Belima were ever to close, your three keyholders receive a download link automatically.
How do you keep my messages private?
Your messages are encrypted end-to-end. Belima can't view them. The decryption key is split across your three keyholders (a technique called Shamir's Secret Sharing) — meaning even with a subpoena, we couldn't decrypt your archive without two of your three people agreeing.
What if I don't have three people I trust?
You can use one person plus two institutional keyholders — our partner notaries in Denmark, the UK, and Sweden. Or two people plus one institution. The three-key rule is about safety, not friendship.
What does Belima mean?
Belima is our children's names, folded together: Benjamin, Lila, Mai. The tagline came later — Believe me. Hear me. Feel me. Every app is a love letter to somebody. This one is for three.
When does it launch?
iOS beta: Spring 2026 for waitlist members. Public App Store launch: Summer 2026. Android planned for 2027. Join the waitlist below to get an invitation as soon as the beta opens.
